Here’s my take on the camren bday greetings. Now you may or may not agree, but here it is.

I will not deny that I am a hardcore camren shipper. I’m fucking writing a fanfic for god’s sake. But I will say this: some camren shippers have gone too far. Now camren may or may not have been real (although I’d like to believe they were/are) but either way, having people shove a relationship down your throat would probably suck. I bet they couldn’t even have proper relationships with other people because fans were constantly scrutinizing and telling them that they should be with each other. I can only guess how awkward that could be.

HOWEVER.

I still think Lauren and Camila are handling this really badly. Granted, they’re pretty young and were introduced to this industry at around 16 years old. At that age, with people shipping you and your friend, they couldn’t have known how to handle that.

But they are older now. I feel like they should be mature enough to at least address each other properly in interviews or on red carpets or even in their own concerts. Unless there’s something more personal that’s holding them back, I don’t think this shipping thing is enough reason for them to be so cold with each other for this long. They’ve been on and off for so long it’s hard to understand where their relationship is even going.

I do agree that fans have to be more careful and respectful though. These are still our girls, and we should still be happy for them and support them all the way.
